Sale of Uncommon Plants Coming Oct. 10

REDLANDS - For many years, members of the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society have held propagation programs at their plant yard in Prospect Park. Horticultural Society members work at the plant yard each Wednesday all year long. Grants Available for School Gardens

REDLANDS - For more than a decade the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society, through its RHIS Dean Fund Project, has been providing grants to schools in the greater Redlands area for school garden and horticultural projects. Author, Philanthropist to Speak at Conference

RIVERSIDE - Philanthropist and author Tracy Gary will speak on "Creating the World We Want: New Tools for New Realties" Friday, Oct. 9, at the Zonta International District 9 Conference at the Mission Inn and Spa in Riverside. Members of the Zonta Club of Redlands and of Zonta clubs from five western states and northern Mexico will attend the conference, which runs from Oct. 8 through Oct. 11.

Zonta Club Hosts Footlighters Reception

REDLANDS - Redlands Footlighters Theater and the Zonta Club of Redlands hosted an opening night reception for theater patrons after the Footlighters' Sept. 10 performance of "Funny Money." Footlighters is celebrating 64 years of community theater. This year's lineup of shows includes Agatha Christie's "The Unexpected Guest" and three other shows.
