REDLANDS - August may be one of the hottest months of the year, but the Redlands Unified School District isn't sweating the energy costs.

Sherryl Avitabile, assistant superintendent of Business Services, recently addressed allegations that a September start date, instead of the planned Aug. 10 start date, would save the district money in energy costs, explaining that the cost difference is "really negligible."
