REDLANDS Elgar C. Burgeson, a longtime Redlands business owner who was also known for his community service, died of congestive heart failure Sunday, March 13, at his home in Redlands. He was 88.

"He was a good man," said Ken Stein, general director of the YMCA in Redlands, one of the organizations touched by Burgeson's generosity.
