LOMA LINDA - A group of local children and their families took a ride on the "Polar Express" Sunday and got the chance to see the debut of a miniature steam engine.

For the last six weeks, Loma Linda resident Jeff Wilmitt and a group of volunteers have been building a steam-engine locomotive. The train debuted Sunday to a group of autistic children and their families, who were given a chance to experience Willmitt's backyard train track and station.
