REDLANDS - Virginia Gaastra has been on her feet serving as a yard duty for 29 12 years. On Tuesday, all of Franklin Elementary School stood on theirs to give her a big standing ovation.
Gaastra, affectionately known by everyone on campus as "Grandma," was the guest of honor during a Peace Builders rally in the multipurpose room.
