REDLANDS A Caltrans grader connected with a rock along Highway 38 Wednesday afternoon and created a spark that ignited more than 200 acres along the Mill Creek wash, according to Chief Fire Investigator Rich Lindner.
A state Department of Transportation employee was grading the brush along the highway near Hatchery Road when he scraped the top one rock and dislodged another, Lindner said, pointing marks on the rocks and newly exposed earth where one had been moved.See the full content of this document
