Summary


This is the second part of the story of Ruth Paul and her family's history in Redlands.

Her father, Charles Sumpter Lombard, known as C.S. Lombard, was a physician who came to Redlands in 1897 with his first wife and their four children. After his first wife died in 1901, he married Bertha Miller Pray, a widow, in 1907. She brought three children to the marriage, and they had three more together. Ruth, 96, is the youngest of those children.
