One of the longest and most perplexing books in the Bible is the prophet Isaiah, the mere mention of whose name can set archeologists and Biblical scholars arguing. The canonical text of the Biblical book is divided into 66 chapters.

But who actually wrote the book and when? And more troubling still, how should his message be interpreted today? The prophet Isaiah is in fact, according to a great many scholars, not one person but at least three authors, probably writing is very different periods of ancient history.
