Jim Blake was recently recognized by the Redlands post office for completing 50 years of government service. Blake, 68, was presented a diamond pin by District Manager John Platt at a ceremony earlier this month.
Blake has been delivering mail since 1959, after serving three years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He remembers when there used to be two deliveries per day -- letters and magazines in the morning and parcel post in the afternoons.See the full content of this document
