Local Jazz Band to Play Redlands Bowl

REDLANDS - Members of Hip Pocket, a Redlands jazz band that started in the early 1990s, will live a dream when they play the Redlands Bowl during the Summer Music Festival on Aug. 12.

"It's been a goal of ours," said Sandy Megas, leader, composer, arranger and pianist for the group. "This is very much a labor of love for us. I think this type of music has just been forgotten. What we're playing is genuine, authentic, American music.
