REDLANDS - "I never get tired of looking at some buildings in Redlands," Isabel Browne said as she stood in line to buy stamps inside the post office on Brookside Avenue. "This is one of them."

In 1933, a congressman by the name of Philip Swing passed a bill that allocated $104,989 to build a federal post office in Redlands. The cornerstone was laid and on July 14, 1934, the building was dedicated and put into service.
