Students Make Paper Cranes, Raise Money for Japan

Summary


REDLANDS - More than 5,000 paper cranes took flight Wednesday from Citrus Valley High School.

The school's Art Club and other students and staff made 5,075 paper cranes, which shipped to a Seattle organization Wednesday. The group, Students Rebuild, receives $2 for each crane from a foundation to benefit Architecture for Humanity, which is doing reconstruction work in the areas in Japan hit by the earthquake and tsunami March 11.
