County Plans to Hire Law Firm to Investigate Assessor

SAN BERNARDINO - The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously at a special meeting Thursday to hire an outside law firm to investigate whether the county has enough legal ground to oust disgraced Assessor Bill Postmus from his elective office.

The board is expected to decide which law firm to hire at its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, then direct the law firm to report to the board on March 3 with an update on its investigation.
