Summary
One of the primary messages of the recent Republican Convention seemed to be that one does not have to accept all of the planks of the platform in order to vote Republican. For example, offered one party spokesperson, one can be pro-choice and still vote for Bush.
I guess I am having real trouble with that example (and it's one that the party keeps insisting is true). I can see being pro-choice and voting Republican in general; I cannot see being pro-choice and voting for George W. Bush. Given the context of civil rights as the foundation of the pro-choice ideology, a vote for Bush would be oxymoronic. Or just plain moronic.See the full content of this document
