Summary


Even as farmers throughout the state worry about whether California's water system will support them in the years to come, Redlands growers say they are in a different position.

The question came to light after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger asked legislators to postpone until 2012 an $11.14 billion water bond on the November ballot. The measure is intended to secure the state's aging water infrastructure, but the governor fears voters will shoot it down now in the midst of burgeoning deficits.
