A San Bernardino Superior Court jury acquitted a motorist of criminal charges Friday in the traffic-related death of veteran CHP Officer James Goodman after less than a day of deliberation.

Jurors found Raymond Hernandez of Redlands not guilty of a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter stemming from a collision with Goodman on June 3, 2004.
