REDLANDS - During its Tuesday meeting, the City Council declared the state of disrepair at Safety Hall an emergency.
By unanimously declaring the situation an emergency, the city does not have to abide by the standard three-bid process to repair the roof at Safety Hall, said Scott McDonald, battalion chief for the Fire Department.
