Are furloughs part of the answer? Definitely no!
In the overall scheme of expenses $200,000 is nothing. The City Council seemed to be able to come up with a ton of money to hire a new city manager with a troubling work history, to say the least. The employees did not get the city into this mess, why should they have to suffer to get us out? Maybe the City Council, especially the city manager, department heads, etc., should give up some of their perks?See the full content of this document
