Summary


If nine players of a ball team are on the field, but no one ever comes up to bat, can there be a baseball game? Now the batter isn't the whole ball game; other players are necessary. But can there be a ball game without a batter?

In such a situation, there could be baseball activity, but not a baseball game. And without the intended consummation of our differently designed bodies, there can be a loving relationship, but not a marriage. Although I don't agree with them, there can be "civil unions" between two people of the same sex who truly have an affection for one another. But why this frantic push on calling such a relationship a "marriage"?
