REDLANDS - University of Redlands freshman midfielder Fionna Connolly helped bury California Lutheran University by a 3-0 score in a conference match Saturday, Oct. 4. She made her mark on the program with the first two goals of her young Bulldog career.
Connolly widened the scoring gap in the second half, tacking on the final two goals of the match. She scored first in a wild scramble in the box following a corner kick by sophomore defender Chelsea Hafley (a graduate of Redlands High School), knocking in a goal off a pass by senior forward Erica Jahn. In the match's waning minutes, Connolly fired off a chip shot from well outside the top of the box and scored.
