Call it good old Southern California hospitality. "I was at work one day and I got an (instant message) from someone I didn't know who asked me how to get to Redlands from (Los Angeles International Airport)," recalled Molly Latour.

The mystery messenger was a friend of 21-year-old Sofia Pasternak. When the message was sent, Pasternak, a Russian college student, was in Paris. She was en route from St. Petersburg to the United States to work in the Pharaoh's Lost Kingdom midway for the summer.
