REDLANDS - A discussion about the fate of one of north Redlands' last packing houses expanded Monday night to include the "philosophical" question of whether the city was better off for the development that has occurred to date.

The North Redlands Visioning Committee was host to the developer and architect of Citrus Packing LLC, the group that would like to replace the packing house at Texas Street and San Bernardino Avenue with a "community-oriented" retail and office center. The Citrus Packing project would require a zone change from "agricultural" to "commercial."
