Only through sheer good luck was a serious catastrophe averted in the drygoods store today, when the shelving along the entire east side of the store fell with a crash, bearing down everything in its path by reason of the tons of drygoods piled thereon. Fortunately but two were behind the counter on that side of the store at the time.
